What is the difference between the Nakamichi DR-1 DR-2 and DR-3?
The DR-1, DR-2, and DR-3 were cassette decks manufactured by the Nakamichi Corporation of Japan in the early 1990s. DR-1 in the series had the most features, whilst the DR-3, being a budget-end model had the least. Therefore, the DR-1 is more valuable of the three.

Why was the Nakamichi DR-3 discontinued?
FYI, Nakamichi quickly withdrew the DR-3 from the market because it was cannibalizing sales—it was 70% of a DR-2 at 1/2 the price of the DR-2!!! The DR-3 is only a two headed deck and the heads are not the best available (Chrystalloy)—I think they are only SENDUST heads.
