Can you use an enlarger lens on a large format camera?
A good question, and a short answer would be yes, in my opinion. Enlarger lenses are “process” lenses and are optimized for flat field work, usually in the 4 to 1 magnification range. That being said your 135mm will do the trick.

When enlarging 4×5 film you’ll want to use a 150mm lens, which also happens to be the standard focal length for a 4×5 camera. If you are going to enlarge 120 film you should use a lens between 80mm and 105mm – in this case we recommend you use a traditional enlarger lens.

Is the Betavaron lens bigger than the EL Nikkor?
Enlarger lenses From ordinary to unusual. In fact, it is quite a bit larger than a 500 mm or 600 mm f/8 catadioptric lens. It is shown here with the EL-Nikkor 50 mm f/4 for size comparison. The EL-Zoom-Nikkor is a true parfocal zoom like the Betavaron, but is not meant to be used with a manual enlarger.
How do I reverse the aperture of my lens?
A metal ring in front of the aperture ring can be unscrewed to reveal a second mount of the same diameter, for reversingthe lens. Another peculiarity is the aperture scale, graduated in 1/3 stops (instead of the usual 1/2 stops). The front and rear caps are similar to those used in Nikon large-format camera lenses.
