How do I use my WageWorks Commuter Card? You use your WageWorks Commuter Card just like you use a debit card—just swipe and go. Use it at transit agency ticket vending machines, ticket windows, and transit agency ordering websites.

Is commuter benefits use it or lose it?

Commuter benefits are not annual “use it or lose it” plans, and the money in the account will be available as long as the employee is active with the organization.

Do WageWorks commuter benefits expire?

If you’ve received a pass for April that you can’t currently use, but the pass DOES NOT EXPIRE and can be used in the future, we encourage you to hang on to it. If you return the pass to us, we are required to convert the pass into an account credit for a future Transit election.

The WageWorks® Commuter Spending Account Debit Card is a convenient, reloadable card that’s available for qualified Transit or Parking purchases. Credit purchases can be made where Visa is accepted by selecting “Credit” at the time of purchase. Your card cannot be used for cash advances or to make cash withdrawals.

Can you take money out of WageWorks?

You can withdraw funds directly from your HSA to pay for eligible expenses. This option works just like an ATM, but without the ATM fees. You may also have HSA funds directly deposited into your bank account or a check mailed to you.

Can I use my commuter card for Uber?

Any Uber rider is eligible to use pre-tax dollars on uberPOOL if their employer provides a commuter program. All you have to do is add your commuter benefits card as a payment method on your Uber account before you ride, and make sure to select it when you are requesting during your commute.

Can I use my WageWorks card at Walmart?

You can use your WageWorks® Healthcare Card at the doctor, pharmacy, optician, and most general merchandise stores. The card transactions are usually verified automatically.

Will OMNY have unlimited?

For the 25 percent of subway and bus riders that use the MTA’s new contactless fare payment system OMNY, there hasn’t yet been an unlimited ride option. Riders can only buy a single ride for $2.75. “That’s a subject we’re getting into with the board, the board has ultimate fare responsibility.”
