Why did Matt leave Cyanide and Happiness?
Matt Melvin is one of the original artists for C&H. He was the oldest artist on the C&H team. As of September 2, 2014 he is no longer part of the Cyanide and Happiness team, leaving over creative differences, and to pursue his solo project The Last Nerds on Earth.
Why is it called Cyanide and Happiness?
At first, Kris didn’t show anyone his new comics, mostly because they were silly and drawn poorly with an optical computer mouse. Kris then retired the name Comicazi, and gave the series it’s new name based on his comic about back alley cotton candy ingredients. The comic was now titled Cyanide & Happiness.

What happened Matt Explosm?
Matt is no longer a part of the Cyanide & Happiness team. Matt has been with us since Explosm’s inception and has been with us over many highs and lows, but ultimately this is the path we’ve arrived at. While Matt is no longer a part of us, Cyanide & Happiness will always be something he had a part in creating.
