Apia is an excellent Insurance company, have several policies with them, great customer service, always willing to help, they go over your policies with you to see if there is a better option. Claims are easily made, not that we have claimed much and easy to make phone contact or visit an office. Highly recommend.

I have been with Apia for quite a few years however they will not continue to insure you if you have more than 5 claims in three years. This is not something the consumer is made aware of and it cannot be found in the product disclosure statement. Also their premiums are very high compared to other insurers.

Can you comment on Apia annual update notice?
Moved to APIA for Contents only cover. No claims so can’t comment on that part of their service. Just received annual update notice and they want a 25% jump in premium with only a small (<5%) increase in cover. Spent 15 minutes trying to get a reason for such a large increase and got the usual scripted rubbish.
