Is the 6×47 a good cartridge?
6×47 is a very efficient cartridge. I have had both and I reload only also. In the load work I did the 6×47 seem to edge out the creed. Both are fantastic and with the new lapua 6.5 creed brass you now get that small primer for the 6 creed.
Do you prefer the 6×47 or the Creed?

What is the 6×47 Lapua?
Low recoil and excellent external ballistics offer shooters the ability to use a flat shooting cartridge without getting beat up on long strings of fire. The 6×47 Lapua (6-6.5×47 Lapua) is a wildcat created by necking down the 6.5X47 Lapua to 6mm (not to be confused with the 6X47 which is a 222 Remington Magnum necked up to 6mm).
Should I run Lapua H4350 or Lapua rl26?
With winter and large primers running Rl 26 Lapua never got close to what Peterson did in sd speed or group size. This was in 0-23 degree weather. Running H4350 would be different except in the cold. With the 6mm creed you can run H1000 or Rl26 for better barrel life/more speed. Since hunting is a foremost use.
How long does Lapua brass last?
The Lapua case design/brass makes reloading consistent, high precision loads a mindless exercise. A box of 100pc Lapua Brass will last the life of the barrel. For hunting/general shooting, the 6.5CM may be a better choice, offering a bit more capacity for beefed up hunting loads, and versatility of brass and factory ammo offerings.
Which Lapua barrel for PRS?
Having lived through high volume shooting of both the 6.5CM and the 6.5×47 Lapua, I would easily choose the 6.5×47 for competition (PRS). The Lapua case design/brass makes reloading consistent, high precision loads a mindless exercise. A box of 100pc Lapua Brass will last the life of the barrel.
