Where are Skyway tuffs made?
Based in Redding, California Skyway are the makers of the original 5 spoke Tuff Wheel. Although mainly producing mag wheels, Skyway also made frames and complete bikes for a brief period. Skyway had a great race team for many years. The company still produces a variety of products today.
What happened Skyway BMX?
At the end of 1988, Skyway saw the bubble about to burst and pulled the plug on their hugely influential freestyle program. The influencers went their separate ways, the bikes ceased to exist and Skyway didn’t really survive as a core BMX brand through the turn of the 1990s.
