What are the four areas tested on the act?

The ACT contains multiple-choice tests in four areas: English, mathematics, reading and science. ACT’s writing test is optional and will not affect your composite score.

What is test 5 on the ACT?

The ACT Section 5 The experimental section can test any topic area but focuses on one subject specifically (English, Math, Reading, or Science). They’re the “5th Section”, after Science and before the Essay. 20 minutes in duration. All questions are focused on one content area: English, Math, Reading, or Science.

Can you take the ACT online?

Students who take the ACT online will receive their scores much quicker than those who take the paper exam. The creators of the ACT have stated that, with the online format, students can expect to receive their scores on nonwriting sections within two business days.

Can you register for the ACT after the deadline?

Once a normal registration deadline has passed, you can still register for that test during its late registration period; however, you’ll have to pay a late fee of $36. If you miss the late registration deadline, you can sign up for standby testing by paying a standby fee of $57.
