What is a P14 form?

The P14 form was an end of year summary and was completed for each employee who earned the Lower Earning Limit or above. Since the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI), this form is no longer needed and has been replaced by the Full Payment Submission (FPS) and Employer Payment Summary (EPS).

Are P60’s a legal requirement?

As an employer, you’re legally obliged to issue P60s to employees by 31 May at the latest. You’re not required to issue P60s to employees who have left your business during the tax year. Employers who fail to issue a P60 by the deadline of the 31 May could face hefty fines from HMRC.

Can I get my P60 emailed to me?

There will be no facility for electronic P60 information to be emailed to HMRC. When processing repayments they will still require any claim to be supported by a paper P60 or the printed output of an electronic P60.

Is a P14 the same as a P60?

P14 (HMRC copy) and P60 (for employee) are on separate sheets 1 and 2. To the employee: keep this certificate in a safe place. You will need it if you fill in a tax return. You also need it to make a claim to tax credits or to renew your claim.

Do P60s have to be printed?

HMRC have now eliminated the need to produce P60’s on official stationery which means you don’t need to order the forms from them anymore. Qtac can print a P60 on to plain paper for you. This is a perfectly legal document and you do NOT have to print P60’s on official HMRC stationery.

WHO issues P60 form?

If you are self-employed you might not get a P60 as they are usually handed out by an employer. However, if you need one as proof of income you can call HMRC to request one.

What happens if you don’t have a P60?

You no longer get a P60 at the end of the year. Instead, you can get an Employment Detail Summary through Revenue’s myAccount service. An Employment Detail Summary contains details of your pay as well as the income tax, PRSI and Universal Social Charge (USC) that has been deducted by your employer and paid to Revenue.

Can you view P60 online?
