Frémont and located in the heart of the downtown casino corridor, Fremont Street is today, or was, the address for many famous casinos such as Binion’s Horseshoe, Eldorado Club, Fremont Hotel and Casino, Golden Gate Hotel and Casino, Golden Nugget, Four Queens, The Mint, and the Pioneer Club.

Is Fremont Street worth seeing?

The area is older so all the business’s, no matter what kind, are generally older as well-they do not compare to the newer hotels & casinos on the Strip. The area is also not as expensive as the Strip either. It is an entertaining area with lots to see and do and is definitely worth a visit.

Is Fremont Street better than the strip?

Most everything is cheaper on Fremont Street. The casino’s are older and smaller, but usually have better odds. It’s fun downtown, but I prefer the strip most of the time. Golden Nugget is probably the best place to stay downtown.
