What is servomex used for?

Servomex pioneered the use of Paramagnetic sensing technology, and it remains a proven, trusted cornerstone of our oxygen (O2) analysis products. Used by many of our industrial, portable and multi-gas analyzers, it delivers fast and reliable measurements of percentage O2 concentrations.

Where is servomex located?

Servomex markets its products and services internationally. It is based in Crowborough, England.

How does an infrared gas analyzer work?

An infrared gas analyzer measures trace gases by determining the absorption of an emitted infrared light source through a certain air sample. Infrared light is emitted from some type of source on one end of the chamber, passes through a series of chambers that contains given quantities of the various gases in question.

How does a paramagnetic oxygen sensor work?

The operating principle of the paramagnetic sensor is the paramagnetic susceptibility of the oxygen molecule, a physical property which distinguishes oxygen from most other gases. The oxygen in the surrounding gas is attracted to the magnetic field, resulting in a force on the glass spheres.

How does an ultrasonic oxygen sensor work?

Ultrasonic oxygen sensors use sound speed to measure the amount of oxygen in a gas or liquid sample. The change in velocity is proportional to the amount of oxygen in the sample. In gases, the sound speed varies as the molecular composition of the gas varies.

What is NDIR principle?

A non-dispersive infrared sensor is used in gas analysis to determine the gas concentration. NDIR analysers are particularly suitable for the determination of the concentration of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide or hydrocarbons in a gas.

How does a NOx analyzer work?

NOx Analyzers have their own pump to “draw” a sample through and create the necessary vacuum. In a CEMS, the sample is sent through a common manifold after the sample conditioner where it has bypassing lines to each of the analyzers. Before each analyzer is a rotometer to regulate the flow.

How does finger oximeter work?

A pulse oximeter (pulse ox) is a noninvasive device that estimates the amount of oxygen in your blood. It does so by sending infrared light into capillaries in your finger, toe, or earlobe. Then it measures how much light is reflected off the gases.
