The USB Type-C (or USB-C) is a fairly recent connector standard, and became available on Galaxy devices with Galaxy S8 and S8+. Its name basically refers to the physical shape of the plug. In this case, it’s reversible meaning that you can plug in the USB Type-C cable any way because either way is up.
