Is Ffcra mandatory in 2021?
On December 27, 2020, President Trump signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, pursuant to which the previously mandatory FFCRA leave provisions became optional beginning January 1, 2021.
Is the Ffcra still in effect?
California’s COVID-19 leave law expires on December 31, 2020 or upon the expiration of the paid sick leave provisions of the FFCRA. Therefore, unless the state amends the law or issues guidance to the contrary, California’s leave law will likely expire at the end of the year.
Is the Ffcra still in effect in 2021?
Starting January 1, 2021, the federal government pivoted to allow employers to voluntarily provide the leave and still claim the tax credits available. The tax credits for FFCRA leave expire September 30, 2021, regardless of whether an employee is currently on leave as of the expiration.

In order to get your state labor law posters for free, you will need to visit your state’s labor office website. Each state includes free printable versions of their labor law posters. You may have to do additional research to be sure that you have all of the information you need clearly posted.
Do I need labor law posters?
If you are a Sole Proprietor and do not have any employees, then you do not need to post Labor Law posters. If you have only contract employees and volunteers, you are not required to post. If your business is family-owned (e.g. a restaurant) and all employees are related, you are not required to post.
