What temperature should my AMD CPU run at?
A good temperature for your desktop computer’s CPU is around 120℉ when idle, and under 175℉ when under stress. If you’re using a laptop, you should look for CPU temperatures between 140℉ and 190℉. If your CPU heats up beyond about 200℉, your computer can experience glitches, or simply shut down.
What is a good temp for a Ryzen CPU?
The safe Ryzen 3600 temperature range is 40C to 75C or 104F to 203F. Keeping yourRyzen 3600 at the lower end of the temperature is going to be the best bet for most people. When it is idle, it absolutely should be on the lower end of that value.
What is normal Ryzen 5 5600X temperature?
95C
I want to be clear with everyone that AMD views temps up to 90C (5800X/5900X/5950X) and 95C (5600X) as typical and by design for full load conditions.
Is 80 too hot for CPU?
If you are hovering around 70 to 80 degrees Celsius, some would say that it is generally safe. While it is a little bit safe, it is already near the danger levels of overheating as going close to 90 degrees while gaming can get your CPU damaged over time. The harder your CPU gets worked, the faster it could wear out.
Will Ryzen work on AM3+?
Ryzen will fit into a new socket known as AM4, the same of which will be used for AMD’s other new APUs. If you’re coming from an AM3+ or another motherboard, Ryzen will not work, as it’s not backwards compatible with older boards and previous sockets.
What is a normal CPU temperature for an AMD CPU?
Max Socket Temp for AMD is 62C. HWMonitor will give you as close to accurate readings as can be expected, though your idle temps are likely a bit off (My guess would be about 5-6C). Around 60C is considered the maximum safe temperature. It should definitely go no higher than about 65C.
What is the average temperature of a AMD Ryzen CPU?

Why does AMD Overdrive show different CPU temperatures?
In AMD Overdrive, the software show different temperatures for each core (which contradict what I said at the beginning) but this is due to the time difference each temperature reading was done. You can get accurate idle temps of your CPU through the motherboard analog (physical) temperature sensor of your CPU socket.
